I took this picture outside the train station on our way from Cholet to Paris. Railway: TGV from Angers-St Laud station to Paris 1h35. The train is the ONLY way to travel. It is immensely better than flying. If I had known, I would have taken the train from Paris to Cholet for about € 50 instead of the flight to Nantes, then a €110 taxi ride (meter said 122, but he gave it to me for 100 and I tipped him 10 for waiting while I sorted my luggage issue to get one of my bags from CDG to my hotel that evening. Nice driver, great guy and all, but still. The train is cheaper, better, and they serve beer and snacks. Easy, smooth ride.
The roundabout pictured here is in Angers. Angers is a city in France in the département of Maine-et-Loire, 191 miles south-west of Paris. (Angers is located in the French region known by its pre-revolutionary, provincial name, Anjou.) Angers's inhabitants are called Angevins.
