Bundle of Joy

A nice lady stopped by today and said that her boys were looking at my Mustang (cause they think it's a super-sweet ride) and noticed a little, tiny, baby deer up under the tire. They wanted to make sure it didn't get squished. We tried to call the local animal shelters and all, but they apparently don't do phones... so I thought of the Reston Petting Zoo, but by the time I was able to go back out and try to help the precious, little bag of fur and bones... [poof]. Vanished into thin air. All I could see is the matted grass where it was laying. We searched the yard high and low (just low, really) and no sign. I'm sure it's not the last I'll see of it. I have a huge Mulberry tree in my backyard and from the looks of things, the racoons, fox, and deer are having their fill. ...and by "fill", I mean I can tell cause they're pooping everywhere.

Wow, I haven't had mulberries in years! But I'm smart enough to only eat the ones in the trees... cause the other ones on the ground taste funny.

about the mulberries, I bet you did try to eat one off the ground!!! And figured it out the HARD way. But what do I know, i don't even know what one looks like much less tastes like so you are one up there. The deer was adorable and what a cute story, good one for your boy! DANA
